FROM SAMARA
Asphalt road then track (blue)
From Samara, take the asphalt road to NICOYA. Cross 3 bridges, and at the third bridge, just after the sawmill, take the track on the left. Follow this for about 2 kilometers until you reach a Y junction. On your left, you’ll pass a farm with a corral. Immediately after the farmhouse, turn left onto a narrow lane to find the entrance to our stables.
There are no rivers to cross.
Grey track:
When coming from Samara, go straight ahead. At the first crossroads, turn RIGHT. Follow the main track for 4 km.
At the first big crossroads go straight on, and just before the second big crossroads, a farm is on your right. Turn right just BEFORE the farm onto a small track that leads to our stables. There is no river to cross.
FROM NOSARA
If you are coming from NOSARA, you have two options:
A – the shorter option, following the coastal road. Please note that there is a river ford (very low and easy to cross between December and May). For the rest of the year, I advise you either to take the option B, or to ask me directly if the river is easy to cross this day.
B – the slightly longer option without river crossing. At the village of BARCO QUEBRADO, turn left towards NICOYA. Follow the road for several kilometers. You will then arrive near the gas station of Samara. Drive down the asphalt road for 1 kilometer before turning right onto the track. Follow this for about 2 kilometers until you reach a Y junction. On your left, you’ll pass a farm with a corral. Immediately after the farm, turn left onto a narrow lane to find the entrance to our stables.
